The NIGHTBREED DIRECTOR'S CUT moves forward...

As per OCCUPY MIDIAN here is what CLIVE BARKER had to say:

"Morgan Creek has given us permission to show the cut around the world and to raise money to prepare the cut for a release on Blu Ray. This could not, would not have happened without your voices. We have all been heard. The Morgan Creek team have my thanks and my respect. Very seldom does anyone in the movie business pay attention as they have, understanding perhaps that the message of the movie as I shot it is one that dramatizes a different ending to the age-old story of how a war between Humankind and something Other draws to a close."

"The real NIGHTBREED will be available for everyone to see. I hope its message of redemption and forgiveness move you."

Occupy Midian!

From BRUTAL AS HELL

“Occupy Midian” is the movement to get an extended version of the great film “Clive Barker’s Nightbreed” released onto Blu-ray and DVD. We are here, we are MANY, and we want to buy it!

“Occupy Midian” was a name thought up by Anne Bobby during an interview with the Clive Barker Podcast. This group aims to work in close co-operation with the creative people currently restoring the film...”

HELLRAISER the TV series?

From BRUTAL AS HELL

And now, the potentially better news… just days after it became widely known that the first steps are being taken toward a Nightbreed TV series, production company Sonar Entertainment have announced plans for Hellraiser: The Series. Aside from the tagline ‘Television is going to Hell’ and the vaguely smirk-inducing concept art below, not a great deal else to report. I guess it depends on their approach, but I find it hard to envisage Hellraiser lending itself to a serial format as well as Nightbreed might, and the lack of any indication that Clive Barker himself is involved gives little comfort. As we may recall Barker pronouncing of the recent Hellraiser sequel Revelations, “I have nothing to do with the fucking thing. If they claim its from the mind of Clive Barker, it’s a lie. It’s not even from my butt-hole.” One would assume his position hasn’t changed...
